Horse Drawn Carriage

Having the opportunity to add a touch of grace, beauty and style to a loved one’s goodbye is something we know many families would love and may not get the chance to do. That’s why we created a horse drawn funeral carriage pathway for those in search of something special, whilst still keeping the experience an affordable one. Choosing a horse drawn carriage for the funeral of your loved one creates a memory that you can carry with you forever.

We created a flexible package which includes the following:

Our professional and caring attention throughout the arrangements and after the day of the funeral

An arrangement meeting, or meetings (dependent on your wishes) at either your home or our office

Completing all the necessary administration/paperwork to plan the funeral

Advice on the certification and registration of death and related documentation

Collection of your loved one who has passed away and transportation, within a 15 mile radius, to our chapel of rest, at no additional charge within office hours

Care of your loved one prior to the burial or cremation – here in our own private mortuary and chapel

Finding a suitable celebrant or minister and liaising with them regarding the service contents

Use of our chapel of rest and facilities until the day of the funeral – unrestricted chapel visits made by appointment

The provision of a 2-horse drawn carriage to a local church, crematorium or cemetery with a choice of black or white horses and various coloured plumes

Providing the option of the creation of a tribute page which includes a donations fund to a chosen charity, and we will also handle and administer charity payments made to us directly

The Funeral Director and 4 bearers on the day of the funeral

Collection of your loved ones ashes, if required

Our Brooke coffin is included in this package (see our products page if you wish to make a change to this selection as all of our coffins are sold at cost)

The celebrant or minister fee

Crematorium fee at Charing – standard service time

A chosen scatter tube – a gift from us

Price: £4705 including all disbursements as shown

Disbursements are fees and statutory charges which have to be paid by us on your behalf in the process of arranging the funeral and can include cremation fees, burial fees, ministers’ fees, newspaper announcements, grave digging etc. These charges are outside of our control and vary but exact costs will be given in the form of an estimate at the time of making the arrangements.
